Cross Country Skiing

One fun "perk" of being an EcoTrekker is you always get invited to explore and expand your outdoor activity menu! We've got a *FREE* cross country ski event planned this month... are you new to skiing? No worries, Kylie will help you through!

XC Ski EcoTrek!
with Kylie Schultz, Kalamazoo Series Leader

Sunday January 29, 2012
1 to 3pm
Al Sabo Land Preserve, Texas Township

From Texas Corners turn northeast onto Texas Drive. The preserve is 3/4 mile on the north side. There is no sign for the preserve, instead look for the Camp Roto Kiwan Boy Scout Camp. The preserve entrance is located just east of the camp. There is a white sign that says "Al Sabo Trails." This is an excellent place for both beginner and intermediate skiiers. There are just a few challenging hills here that can be avoided or taken on, depending on what type of experience you'd like! We can divide into two groups if we need to so that we can accommodate everyone's skiing experience!

If you don't have cross country skis, you can "try before you buy" at Lee's Adventure Sports at located at 311 West Kilgore Road. Your first day rental can be used toward a purchase. Check out their rentals page here: http://www.leesadventuresports.com/lees/dept.asps_id=0&dept_name=Rentals&dept_id=3758

If you do not own skiis please send an email to cari@ecotrekfitness.com to receive details.

Stay tuned for more fun events in the future too!
